Wholefoods

Got a bunch of food at Whole Foods and made dinner.


Ravioli and tortellini with shiitake, button, porchini mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, white wine, and mozzarella.

The vanilla bean cheesecake was the yummiest.
The other cheesecakes n tart were too hard.

Franklin Cafe in Southie

Franklin Cafe in Southie Has yummy food and mediocre service. I was more impressed with the appetizers then the entrees, but I did go back for the oysters, soup and the orzo salad.

Tavern in the Square

This was a return trip to try more things from the extensive menu at Tavern in the Square. This time I went to the one in Porter Square

These were not as good as I was hoping.

Risotto Fritters
Parmesan risotto stuffed with pesto and mozzarella lightly breaded and fried.
Served with tomato cream sauce and baby arugula.

Also not very impressed with the mac n cheese.

White Truffle Mac & Cheese
Cavatappi pasta in a creamy four cheese sauce, drizzled with
white truffle oil and baked with seasoned breadcrumbs.

BBQ sauce and more cheddar cheese.

grilled cheese sandwitch andl of tomato soup.

My friend David is a great chef and is willing to indulge me by making
homemade tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich with avocado.

Franklin Cafe Southie

Sat at the bar at the Franklin Cafe Southie and had a bite. The appetizers were better then our entrees. I will be going back for the corn soup.
